Guatemala Medical Resources Partnership
A Wisconsin Rotary project to bridge the gap in medical services for the people of Guatemala.
GMRP – Service Above Self
The Guatemala Medical Relief Partnership began in 2003 with the vision of a Rotarian from Wisconsin to provide general/basic medical care to people who couldn’t otherwise receive care.
Positioned in Oliveros, Santa Rosa, Guatemala a team of around 40 individuals travel to offer a clinic with General Medical, Vision and Dental care.

Where We Work
Our yearly January mission takes place in Oliveros, Guatemala, where in 2020 (our 16th mission) we provided general medical, dental, vision and pharmaceutical services for people of the area. More than 800 patients traveled to the four-day clinic, some traveling on foot three hours to be seen.
The medical team will not be able to travel to Oliveros in January 2021 due to Covid-19, but Flory will continue getting our patients surgeries that have been delayed due to the pandemic, as well as taking some referrals from a local doctor. Our surgical fund-raising goal is around $40,000.

Support Our Work
Guatemala Medical Resources Partnership (GMRP) is a volunteer effort driven by Rotarians and non-Rotarians to provide medical, dental, vision and pharmacy services to underserved people of rural Guatemala. In January 2020 we completed our 16th mission. In 2021 our medical team will not be able to travel to Guatemala due to Covid-19, but Flory, our health promoter, will continue helping our patients, arranging for surgeries that have been delayed by the pandemic, as well as scheduling some new referrals.
GMRP is funded by multiple donors – Rotary Clubs within District 6270 as well as other generous organizations and individuals. Your contributions are always needed and very welcome.
