A Rustic Wisconsin Holiday

Celebrate the holidays with a giving spirit that will benefit three nonprofit charities! A RUSTIC WISCONSIN HOLIDAY has two great features: AN EXQUISITE DINNER WITH A PURPOSE, featuring a holiday feast created and prepared by MasterChef Contestant Katrina and MADE IN WISCONSIN HOLIDAY FAIR, where you can shop for Wisconsin-made gifts or items for your holiday entertaining. All proceeds will benefit three organizations: SOAR of Racine,; Bethany Apartments,; Guatemala Medical Resources Partnership, an international Wisconsin Rotary project, MADE IN WISCONSIN HOLIDAY FAIR is open to the public from 1-4 p.m., Dec. 13 at Festival Hall. General Admission is $2. Shop for your Wisconsin-made holiday gifts or Wisconsin products that will help you celebrate the holidays. Wisconsin businesses wishing to participate can visit the SOAR website for booth information. AN EXQUISITE DINNER WITH A PURPOSE features a rustic holiday dinner, created and cooked by Katrina Kozar, a Milwaukee native who was among the top 5 contestants in the summer’s MasterChef competition. The dinner is limited to 200 people, who will also have an opportunity to win a Katrina dinner for four with the purchase of their dinner ticket (You provide the groceries, Katrina does the creating). Diners will receive a special Wisconsin holiday cocktail and a delicious three-course dinner. They will learn about the work of three charities whose missions are to educate children from disadvantaged families, to provide transitional housing for women and children who have left situations of domestic violence, and to bring a weeklong medical clinic to the outreaches of Guatemala for people who otherwise do not have medical, dental or vision care.
